Full Day Safari Kanha National Park

Full Day Safari Kanha National Park:

Embark on the adventure of a lifetime with our Full Day Safaris in Kanha, a haven for wildlife enthusiasts and photography aficionados. Kanha offers two safari options: the Regular AM/PM Safaris, each lasting 3 hours, and the immersive Full Day Safari, spanning from sunrise to sunset.

Why Opt for Full Day Safaris?

The Full Day Safari provides unparalleled freedom and flexibility, allowing you to explore the entire park without being confined to a specific zone. With a limit of only 5 vehicles, you enjoy zone-free access, making it ideal for capturing the majestic tiger in its natural habitat. While it may be a premium experience, the benefits far outweigh the cost.

Unlike the Regular Safaris, where you may be assigned an inexperienced driver and a random zone, the Full Day Safari permits you to select specific drivers skilled in photography and knowledgeable about the park. This enhances your chances of encountering tigers and other wildlife, as well as capturing stunning images.

Photography Expertise at Your Fingertips

Led by a seasoned Skipper and Naturalist with over 500 tiger safaris under their belt, this tour caters to photographers of all levels. Receive guidance on composition, lighting, and wildlife behavior. Whether you're using a smartphone or professional-grade equipment, our expert ensures you return home with a portfolio you'll be proud to showcase.

Photographic Equipment and Climate Considerations

Recommended focal lengths range from 100-400mm for DSLR or mirrorless cameras, while a 24-70mm lens is ideal for panoramic views. Tripods are not necessary, as the safari vehicles provide limited space for mounting. Expect fast-paced action, and use supplied beanbags and vehicle support.

Prepare for varying climates based on the season, from the lush greenery of Autumn to the misty mornings of Winter showcasing tigers in their winter coats. Summer offers hot temperatures but increased animal sightings around waterholes.

Your Dream Tiger Photography Experience

Join us for an unforgettable journey through Kanha, where the allure of the wild and the thrill of tiger sightings merge. Maximize your chances, enhance your photography skills, and create lasting memories on this extraordinary Full Day Safari.

Embark on a Majestic Journey: Discovering Tigers in Kanha National Park

Encountering a tiger in the wild for the first time is an indescribable experience. It surpasses imagination, leaving you breathless and etching a memory that lasts a lifetime. The thrill of listening for distress calls, the excitement of predicting a tiger's appearance, and the sheer awe of witnessing these apex predators in their natural habitat create an unparalleled connection with nature.

Join me in unraveling the wonders of Kanha National Park, India's crown jewel of natural heritage. Nestled along the Banjar River in rural Central India, Kanha is one of the country's oldest and largest national parks. Its moist deciduous forest, adorned with iconic saal trees, provides a green canopy even in the peak heat of summer.

The core zone of Kanha, a critical tiger habitat, boasts an incredibly dense prey base, ensuring a thriving population of apex predators, including the majestic royal Bengal tiger. With over 100 wild tigers, Kanha has witnessed a remarkable growth in the tiger population, making it a vital contributor to India's conservation efforts.

Diversity is Kanha's hallmark, offering a landscape that transitions from thick forests to wetlands and open plains. This variety supports a rich array of wildlife, including leopards, sloth bears, wild dogs, jackals, barasingha (exclusive to Kanha), spotted deer, sambar deer, langur monkeys, Indian bison, and over 250 bird species. The park's well-managed wilderness and its serene ambiance make it a standout destination among India's wildlife reserves.

Kanha's remoteness adds to its allure, allowing visitors to disconnect from urban life and reconnect with nature. As you navigate the park, its quietude and the breathtaking scenery instill a sense of appreciation for our place in the world. A journey through Kanha is a reset for the mind, body, and soul, a reminder that nature is an integral part of our existence.

Safari Zones: A Tapestry of Habitats

Kanha is divided into four safari zones accessible to the public—Kisli, Mukki, Kanha, and Sarhi. Each zone, with its distinct habitat, contributes to the park's unique charm. The popularity of a specific zone varies over time, influenced by the frequency of sightings and the movement of the park's diverse animal inhabitants.

Embark on this extraordinary adventure, where the magic of the wild unfolds in every step, and the elusive beauty of the royal Bengal tiger awaits your discovery. Kanha National Park beckons, promising an experience that goes beyond the ordinary—an exploration of nature's wonders in their purest form.

Optimal Timing for Exploring Kanha National Park

Kanha National Park, a haven for biodiversity and a sanctuary for majestic tigers, beckons nature enthusiasts from across the globe. As you envision the lush greenery, meandering streams, and the rich tapestry of flora and fauna, the excitement to explore this dense jungle grows exponentially.

Situated in the enchanting state of Madhya Pradesh, Kanha is renowned for its successful conservation efforts, notably under Project Tiger. It boasts a significant population of the regal Bengal tiger, making it a prime destination for wildlife enthusiasts. Beyond tigers, the park is a residence to various other animals, including Barasingha, Hiran, Jackal, Chital, black-faced Langur, monkeys, and Guar. Moreover, the chance to spot sloth bears, porcupines, sambar, pythons, and the magnificent mouse deer adds to the allure.

The avian enthusiasts are not left disappointed, as Kanha is home to a vibrant array of bird species. Indian rollers, bee-eaters, golden orioles, paradise flycatchers, hornbills, egrets, and numerous kingfishers grace the skies, creating a birdwatcher's paradise.

Choosing the Right Time:

Selecting the ideal time to embark on your Kanha adventure is crucial for a memorable experience. Summers, from April to June, can be hot, with temperatures soaring to 43 degrees Celsius. Winters, from November to February, bring cold temperatures. However, the best time to visit Kanha is from October to June.

The park remains closed from July to September during the monsoon, the breeding season for wildlife. Additionally, road conditions become impassable during the monsoon, making it impractical for visitors. The park opens its doors from 15th October to 30th June, providing a window for exploration.

Peak Season and Wildlife Sightings:

The peak season is during winters, from October to March, when the central Indian climate is more favorable for tourists. Visitors flock to Kanha during these months to escape the heat. The period between November and February is particularly magical, as the park rejuvenates after the monsoon, creating an ideal atmosphere for birdwatching.

For those sensitive to summer heat, the months from March to May offer excellent wildlife sightings. The vegetation dries up, enhancing the chances of spotting elusive tigers. March is especially enticing, as it is not too hot, ensuring a comfortable experience for wildlife enthusiasts.

In April and May, the spotting of wild animals becomes remarkably easy, making it the prime season for wildlife photographers. From October to June, every moment holds excitement for tourists eager to explore the dense jungles and wildlife wonders of Kanha National Park.
