- Jhalana Leopard Safari Park is India’s first Leopard Reserve located in Jaipur, Rajasthan, surrounded by the oldest mountain series in India, the Aravali hills.
- Designated as a Leopard Reserve in 2017, it covers an area of 20 square kilometers and is known for its diverse flora and fauna.

Wildlife Population:
- The park hosts more than 40 leopards, including 5 cubs, making it an ideal destination for leopard enthusiasts.
- Other wildlife species in the park include Striped hyenas, Indian civets, desert cats, jungle cats, desert foxes, jackals, porcupines, jungle rats, monitor lizards, mongooses, Sambar deer, spotted deer (chital), and Blue Bull (Nilgai).

Safari Experience:
- Jhalana Leopard Safari became operational for visitors in December 2016.
- The safari offers a good chance of leopard sightings, sometimes within the first 5 minutes of entering the park.
- Due to the diurnal nature of leopards in the park, they can be seen in daylight, enhancing the chances of successful sightings.

Landmarks within the Park:
- Shikaar Audi, a three-storeyed hunting lodge of the Royal families of Jaipur, is located in the middle of the leopard reserve. It offers an animal-spotting platform with views of sunrise and sunset.

Quick Facts:
- It has more than 40 leopards, including 5 cubs.
- The last tiger was shot in 1948.
- In 2017, Jhalana was identified as a Leopard Reserve by the Rajasthan Forest Department.
- Jhalana was opened for tourists for the first time in December 2016.

Flora and Fauna:
- The reserve features a dry deciduous forest dominated by juliflora and khejri trees. Other species include dhak, salar, dhonk, and kumta.
- Fauna includes leopards, Indian civets, desert cats, jungle cats, Striped Hyena, desert foxes, jackals, porcupines, jungle rats, monitor lizards, mongooses, Sambar deer, spotted deer, Blue Bull, and various snakes.
- Jhalana is a paradise for bird watchers, hosting rare bird species like the Indian Pitta, Dusky Eagle, Owl, and Spotted Owlet.

Best Time to Visit:
- Open for safari tours throughout the year, including the monsoon season (1st January to 31st December).
- However, the period from November to April is considered the best time due to delightful weather and the lush beauty of the forest.

  • INR 1500 per passenger for the safari.
  • INR 7000 for a Full Gypsy (maximum 6 persons allowed).

Price (Foreigner):

  • INR 2500 per passenger for the safari.
  • INR 14000 for a Full Gypsy (maximum 6 persons allowed).

  - Evening: 03:45 pm – 06:15 pm

- From 1st Nov to 31st Jan:
  - Morning: 07:00 am – 09:30 am
  - Evening: 03:15 pm to 05:45 pm

- From 1st Feb to 31st March:
  - Morning: 06:15 am – 08:45 am
  - Evening: 03:45 pm to 06:15 pm

- From 1st April to 31st May:
  - Morning: 05:45 am – 08:15 am
  - Evening: 04:15 pm to 06:45 pm

- From 1st May to 31st July:
  - Morning: 05:45 am – 08:15 am
  - Evening: 04:45 pm to 07:15 pm

    • INR. 18000 for Half Day Safari
    • INR. 34000 for Full Day Safari
  • Price (Foreigner):

    • INR. 25000 for Half Day Safari

  • Morning Shift: 05:30 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Evening Shift: 12:00 PM – 07:00 PM (Safari Timing Varies as Season Changes)

  • The prices are for the entire jeep, and a maximum of 5 persons is allowed in one jeep.
  • Safari permits are applicable to all zones within Jhalana Leopard Safari.
