Mukundra National Park is situated between two parallel mountains viz. Mukundra and Gagrola which run across a length of about 80 km (from Murlipura to Rawatbhata). The four rivers which form the boundary of this valley are Ramzan, Ahu, Kali and Chambal. The name Darrah is taken as the ‘pass’ in the local language revealing the purpose that the region served earlier. Total area of the National park is about 200 km2. The park got the nod from National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) in 2013, and the state (Rajasthan) bagged its third tiger reserve in the form of the Mukundra-Hills-Tiger-Reserve. The densely wooded Darrah Sanctuary is spread all over the hilly terrain.

National park is an area which is strictly reserved for the betterment of the wildlife & biodiversity, and where activities like developmental, forestry, poaching, hunting and grazing on cultivation are not permitted. Their boundaries are well marked and circumscribed

Day 1:  Kota To Mukundra

You will be arrived at Kota railway station and transfer to your pre booked hotel or wildlife-Resort-in-Mukundra. After check in freshen up and take lunch.After lunch visit to Mukundra Hill. it will take approx two hours to complete, return at you hotel at dusk. Have tea and coffee. After shower ready for dinner and over night spent in the hotel or resort.

Day 2: Mukundra National Park

An early morning drive to the dense jungle of Mukundra-Tiger-Reserve with naturalist by open top roof canter or jeep (subject to availability) for tiger tracking and explore wildlife.The jungle visits lasts for about three hours. Return to the resort for breakfast time.There is time to relax and enjoy the facilities of your hotel, maybe take a dip in the pool for a break from the heat of the day.You can also explore the wild surroundings.After luch you will take afternoon game drive to Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserce with naturalist by jeep or canter. Dinner and overnight stay at the resort in Mukundra Hills.

Day 3: Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve

A early morning to start local sightseeing Darrah Hills, Darrah Temple, Darrah Village.

Day 4: Mukundra To Kota

After delightful Break fast check-out and depart to railway station time to catch train for Kota / Onward Destination and home.

By Air – The nearest airport from Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve/Darrah National Park is Udaipur, which is around 300 km from Kota.

By Rail – The closest railway station is Kota railway station located about 50 km from Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve/Darrah National Park.

By Road – The distance between Mukundra Tiger Reserve and Kota is close to 50 km only.  It is also well connected all the major cities of Rajasthan like Ajmer, Chittorgarh, Jaipur, Udaipur, etc.
